1. Common lathe
It has a wide range of processing objects, a wide adjustment range of spindle speed and feed rate, and can process the internal and external surfaces, end faces and internal and external threads of the workpiece. This kind of lathe is mainly operated manually by workers, with low production efficiency. It is suitable for single piece, small batch production and repair workshop.
2. Turret lathe and rotary lathe
The turret tool holder or return wheel tool holder that can hold multiple tools can be used by workers to complete multiple processes in one clamping of the workpiece, which is suitable for batch production.
It can automatically complete the multi-process processing of small and medium-sized workpieces according to certain procedures, automatically load and unload materials, and repeatedly process a batch of the same workpieces, which is suitable for mass production.
4. Multi-cutter semi-automatic lathe
There are single shaft, multi-shaft, horizontal type and vertical type. The layout of the single-shaft horizontal lathe is similar to that of the ordinary lathe, but two sets of tool holders are installed at the front and back of the main shaft or up and down respectively, and are used to process discs, rings and shaft workpieces. Its production efficiency is 3~5 times higher than that of the ordinary lathe.
5. Copying lathe
It can imitate the shape and size of the sample or sample, and automatically complete the processing cycle of the workpiece. It is suitable for small and batch production of the workpiece with complex shape. The productivity is 10-15 times higher than that of the ordinary lathe. There are multiple tool holders, multiple shafts, chuck type, vertical type, etc.
The spindle is perpendicular to the horizontal plane, the workpiece is clamped on the horizontal rotary table, and the tool rest moves on the beam or column. It is suitable for processing large, heavy workpieces that are difficult to install on an ordinary lathe. It is generally divided into single column and double column.
7. Relief lathe
At the same time of turning, the tool holder periodically moves radially and reciprocally, which is used to form the tooth surface of the forklift milling cutter, hob, etc. Generally, it is equipped with grinding attachments, and the small grinding wheel driven by a separate motor is used to grind the tooth surface.
8. Special lathe
Lathes used to process specific surfaces of certain types of workpieces, such as crankshaft lathes, camshaft lathes, wheel lathes, axle lathes, roll lathes and ingot lathes.
It is used for turning, but after adding some special parts and accessories, it can also be used for boring, milling, drilling, inserting, grinding and other processing. It has the characteristics of "one machine with multiple functions", and is suitable for repair work on engineering vehicles, ships or mobile repair stations.
